WHAT ARE SECRET TREES?

Food-bearing trees, such as apples, peaches, pears, pecans, etc. will sometimes be planted secretly.  There will be nothing secret about the trees themselves; they will be in places where they are very obvious and accessible to the public, such as alongside highways and major roads, around public lakes, parks, etc.  The secrecy comes from their planting.  In many cases, there is just way too much time and “red-tape” involved in obtaining the proper permission needed to plant these trees in such public areas.

 

Since we feel there is an urgency to get these types of food-producing trees into public areas, we will sometimes bypass the permission route and go ahead with planting the trees, kind of bending the rules, so to speak, not really breaking any, if at all possible.

 

If, as we hope, the future has only good things in store for all of us; then these food-producing trees will provide people with the joy of discovery and getting to eat great food straight from Mother Nature.  If, however, the future holds some hard times ahead, as many are predicting, these publicly-accessible food bearing trees may actually be called upon to save human lives.
